If you’re reading this post, you might be toying with the idea of hiring me as your Online Business Manager or Launch Strategist.
Awesome! I’d love to work with you…
Maybe.
Thing is, there are a lot of people who “think” they want to work with me, until they hear what it entails.
And I’m not just talking about the price…
I’ve decided to write out what you can expect from me when we enter into a contract together. Because, as I’ve come to find out, it’s not always obvious to the potential client looking in.
It’s taken me a long time to finally admit, without stuttering, that YES. I am an expert in online business.
And while many people want my expertise, they don’t want the hard work that comes with it.
What do I mean?
I mean…I will be RUTHLESS with your business model, site design, copy, graphics, and funnels. It is my job to come in with an objective eye, and:
- Plug up leaky funnels
- Throw away horrible copy (and rewrite it)
- Update outdated design
- Create new ideas and structure for your offers, lead magnets, and tripwires
- Advise on new onboarding and automation systems
This is why you’re paying me after all. But sometimes, I find that clients think I’m their elf. A little person who just executes what THEY think should be done.
And I’m here to tell you – if that is what you want, I am NOT the person for you.
Part of what you’re paying for is my brain. My creative energy, ideas, strategy, and frankly…objectivity. I’m not attached to your business the way you are. Therefore, I can see things that you cannot.
As a project manager, business consultant, and/or launch strategist, I have a rhyme to my reason. So when I run into a client that just wants to tell me what to do and when to do it, it’s a red flag.
That is NOT to say that I don’t want to interact, collaborate, and get feedback. In fact, I do. So much so, that here’s another thing that you need to know when working with me…
You will be working just as hard as I am.
As your OBM or launch strategist, I become a part of your team. I breathe, eat, and sleep your business. I read your copy, get to know your clients, help you in your FB groups, with your emails, your ads, everything. I’m pouring my heart and soul into helping you succeed, and so I expect the same to be done on your end.
If you’re looking to hand off work to someone else, without a plan to do YOUR part? Then we are not a good fit.
Case Study – Madelaine Corke
She came to me with no list, no exposure, no group, and a website on Weebly. She hired me to be her launch strategist.
And if ever there was a dream client, she was it.
We started out by meeting weekly. I told her Weebly was not a great idea, and she was willing to move
(after painstaking work on her website for months).
It was clear that she was fiercely talented, ambitious, and ready to do what it took.
So together, we worked on her launch plan. I gave her ideas and systems to use.
She used them.
I set up Facebook ads with ideas of how to get new clients.
She said, “Go for it.”
I explained ways that she might have to get out of her comfort zone and be more visible.
She dove in 100%.
She went from a list of zero, to a list of 300 +. She went from no discovery calls to six in a week.
She went from no Facebook group to a group of 270.
She went from $0 dollars in revenue for a BETA course, to a $15k + launch (with a list of less than 200 at the time).
She had companies coming to HER and asking to hire her.
Now. Lest you think that’s just magic at work, she also HAS THE GOODS. I didn’t feed her a magic pill or give her a wand. I simply offered her my expertise, got my hands dirty in tech alongside her, and acted like her business partner. Her coach. Her consultant.
That’s the kind of magic that happens when I work with a client who is motivated, talented, and ready to let me lead.
When you work with me, I will DO things. I won’t just bark orders.
But I will not be a “yes” m’am.
I will ask to be in charge for the length of time we work together.
That might feel scary, and I understand.
But staying where you are, in your methods, your comfort zone, is not how it works.
I never guarantee revenue goals, but I do guarantee – a smart, creative, savvy, and experienced person to join your team and work to take your business to the next level.
I don’t trade dollars for hours.
I don’t penny pinch and respond like a government worker asking to do something outside of the lines of their perfectly drawn box.
I don’t drop the ball with the remark, “That wasn’t my job”.
It’s this kind of commitment and dedication that requires ME to interview YOU. Because I can’t give 1000% to people who aren’t going to value it for what it is.
But let me tell you. When I find ideal clients? Clients who are happy to let me take the reins, guide, advise, and give counsel…to help steer the ship?
Over and over again, they say to me, “You are the single best investment I’ve made in my business.”
So…whaddaya say?
