They say it’s about the journey, not the destination, but what if you wanted to become the best in the world at what you do?
What type of habits, discipline and tactics come to mind in order to achieve that status?
The truth is, even if you never reach the title of being the best in the world, you’d sure land a lot higher than where you would’ve, had you not aimed for the top.
In my latest blog post on the ClickFunnels Blog, I asked several #funnelhackers from our community to give their insight on what it takes to be the best in the world at what they do. Here is a summary of what they said. You can read the more detailed answers over on the ClickFunnels blog HERE.
Replication
Success dies with you if you can’t instill it into someone else. Replication is a necessity for growth.
Imbalance
You’ve got to be okay with missing some dinner parties and maybe even a few of your kids’ soccer games. Prolonged periods of imbalance is okay, so as long as you commit to mastering your craft in order to become the best.
Disruption
Being able to recognize broken systems and seeing where things can be better is a necessity to be at the top. And OWNING that disruption is what will get you there.
Obsession
Being obsessed means living, breathing, thinking, talking about and doing the one thing that has you the most fired up. Everyone will recognize you for it. If you were to ask 5 people right now about your obsession, what would they say?
Legacy
One of the greatest things we can do as entrepreneurs is build a company great enough that will leave a legacy and carry on even after the internet has reinvented itself 100 times over.
System
In order to grow and adapt and be scalable, it requires systems. Systems are what will make the love of sales and marketing work for YOU.
Repetition
n the book Outliers , author Malcolm Gladwell says that it takes roughly 10,000 hours of practice to become a master at a field. And he’s right! Repetition is what will help you figure out the smartest ways to run your business, which is what you’ll need in order to be the best.
Belief
And of course, you have to believe. Believe that you have what it takes. Believe that you know how to get there. Believe that you can do it. And believe that your product or service is the solution that the world NEEDS.
Just remember, the next time you’re frustrated about things not going exactly as you’d like, the journey to becoming the best is about just that … the journey, and everything that goes along with it.
